Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to give site owners information about how their site is being used.

Trackease also uses similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage to store small amounts of data directly in your browser. This policy covers all such technologies collectively referred to as "cookies".

How Trackease Uses Cookies

We use cookies for three specific purposes, described below. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or selling data to third parties.

Essential Cookies

Essential

These cookies are required for the platform to function. Without them you cannot log in, stay authenticated, or use any features that require an account. They cannot be disabled.

Preference Cookies

Preference

These cookies remember choices you make, such as your light or dark mode preference, so you don't have to reset them each visit. Disabling them means your preferences won't be remembered between sessions.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics

We use privacy-focused, anonymous analytics to understand which features are used, how users navigate the platform, and where errors occur. No personally identifiable data is collected by our analytics. You can opt out via your browser settings.

Third-Party Cookies

Trackease itself does not embed third-party advertising or social media tracking scripts. However, some third-party services we rely on may set their own cookies:

  • Cloudinary (media storage) — may set cookies when media files are loaded from their CDN
  • Payment processors — set cookies during the checkout or subscription flow to secure transactions
  • Email link tracking — clicking links in Trackease notification emails may set a cookie to confirm delivery

These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies. Trackease does not control or have access to the data they collect.

What We Don't Do

To be explicit about our data practices, Trackease does not:

  • Use advertising networks or retargeting pixels (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Pixel)
  • Share cookie data with data brokers or marketing platforms
  • Track you across other websites outside of trackease.com.ng
  • Fingerprint your browser or device for identification purposes
  • Use cookies to build profiles for commercial advertising

How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Below are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

Note: Blocking or deleting essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the Trackease platform. Analytics and preference cookies can be disabled without affecting core functionality.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features or change our technology providers. When we make material changes we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify registered business accounts by email.
